Let’s look at Labour’s 1945 campaign. For a start, it does seem more polished anubstantial. Take a look at these election posters, targeting specific parts of the wider electorate.And, Labour’s manifesto seems more specific, ambitious, detailed and thought through. Read it here.
Attlee had a good campaign. his reply to Churchill’s ‘Gestapo Speech’ was masterful. Read it here. Here is his election broadcast.
It seems ‘Win the Peace’ was a winning message.
